A Painter, an animation artist on Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty”, a beat poet who once performed with a then-unknown Maya Angelou and mother of five, Elizabeth Case was a true Renaissance woman of artist, experimenting in a wide variety of media and subjects; she captured the lives of her children and the soul of her community. Breaking down women’s barriers in a place where men dominated, Elizabeth Case rose above many obstacles in her life and in her memory, her daughter; Sue Onopa honors the work of an unsung artist, her mom and opens the Case Gallery for all of us to have the privilege to be a part of.
