General Hospital and Charity Buzz, You could win a walk on role!

Charity Buzz and General Hospital give an opportunity to GH's Biggest Fan to have a walk on role through a bid on CharityBuzz's Auction.

Iconic Soap Opera, General Hospital turned 50 Years Old this year. General Hospital is the third longest-running soap opera in history and the longest-running American soap still in production. Started on April 1, 1963, the show became the highest rated show on daytime television within a decade. The show was created by husband-and-wife soap writers Frank and Doris Hursley, who originally set it in a general hospital (hence the title) in an unnamed fictional city; this city was named Port Charles, New York in the 1970s.

I have been a huge fan of General Hospital since High School, my all time favorites Crushes? Oh Course, Blackie Parrish-John Stamos and Dr. Noah Drake-Rick Springfield, who wouldn’t want a Dr. that looked like that!

Now, you have an opportunity to Join the Famous Actors that graced the GH the set over the years like, Elizabeth Taylor, Demi Moore, James Franco, Leonard Nimoy, Mark Hamill, Jack Wagner, Antonio Sabato Jr and many more. Through Charity Buzz,  you can bid on an opportunity to experience life behind the scenes and catch a glimpse of Luke Spencer, Sonny Corinthos and the Quartermaine Clan, as GH celebrates 50 years!.

Who is CharityBuzz? CharityBuzz is the place to find extraordinary experiences and luxuries to benefit remarkable charities making an impact. CharityBuzz online auctions bring together hundreds of the world's most acclaimed celebrities, inspiring luminaries and beloved brands to give you unforgettable access to your passions. Plus, you can feel good knowing that every winning bid supports an incredible cause.

So Bid through CharityBuzz and maybe you can be the lucky winner of A WALK-ON ROLE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL IN BURBANK, CALIFORNIA

Allstate Foundations Project "Purple Purse" Pass it on!

Domestic violence affects one in four women in their lifetime — that's more women than breast cancer, ovarian cancer and lung cancer combined. Still, more than one-third of us have never discussed the issue.

Knowing that domestic violence can be a hard subject to talk about, Purplepurse.com was created to get people talking. The site has everything you need to start the conversation and encourage your friends and family to do the same.

That's why The Allstate Foundation is taking action. With the expertise that comes from being the corporate foundation of a financial services company, our Domestic Violence Program helps provide both supporters and the survivors themselves with the financial knowledge, skills and resources they need to help get safe, stay safe and thrive.

How does it work?

Every time a purple purse is registered here through the end of October, The Allstate Foundation will donate $5 to YWCA. We'll keep donating until we reach our goal of giving $350,000 to YWCA for programs aimed to help domestic violence survivors and stopping the cycle of abuse. Don’t have a Purple Purse Code? Easy fix, You can get a Virtual Code right off the Purple Purse website here!

Domestic violence affects one in four women in their lifetime and happens more than 145 times each hour in the U.S. That's why we hope you'll continue to "pass it on" and keep having life-changing conversations about this important cause. By sharing the purses and spreading the word, we can keep the momentum going and help end domestic violence.
