Beautiful Gardens turns Grey!

HBO's "Grey Gardens," starring Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore, is the kind of film that makes you question what you're seeing: Is it a tender love story or a hideous freak show? Is it a tragedy or comedy? Do you feel admiration for its subjects, or pity?

Perhaps it's all of the above.

Some background: In 1973, filmmakers Albert and David Maysles descended on East Hampton to chronicle the bizarre riches-to-rags tale of reclusive grande dame Edith Bouvier Beale and her adult daughter Edith, the aunt and cousin of Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

Tune In

Glamour goes grey. Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange portray real-life Jackie O. kin and faded socialites Little Edie and Big Edie Beale in HBO's Grey Gardens, premiering Saturday night at 8 p.m. EDT.

Ideeli's "Oscar de la Renta" Giveway

Oscar Worthy

When true fashionistas talk about Oscar-worthy style, they're not speaking of those golden movie awards - they are speaking of the inimitable Oscar de la Renta. Born in the Dominican Republic, trained in Spain and immersed in Parisian society, the designer developed a signature style all his own: one that combines the vibrant spirit of the tropics with traditional European craftsmanship. In 1965, at the behest of Vogue editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland, Oscar de la Renta launched his self-titled collection. Did we mention how great his collections look in person?
Vreeland's intuition was correct, and de la Renta's collection was an immediate success. Rich colors, luxurious fabrics and bold embellishments soon became cornerstones of his creations, reflecting the designer's unique understanding of all things feminine. Never before has a designer so deftly captured the essence of the modern woman.
With winter quickly fading behind us, ideeli knows you're ready to trade snow white for summer whites, which is why we've paired up with this formidable designer to bring one lucky winner a one-of-a-kind handbag, straight from the runway! Made from white twisted raffia and calfskin, the "Indore Box" bag (named from the city in India) was carried by supermodel Agyness Deyn at Oscar de la Renta's SS 09 NYC Fashion Week show and adds a serious dose of glamour to any ensemble.
While not every ideeli member can win, everyone can receive exclusive updates straight from the legend himself, full of key insider style tips. Better yet, sign-up now and you'll automatically be entered to win two tickets to the label's Resort 2010 Runway show in New York this summer. After all, Oscar-worthy style isn't just for stars. In Oscar de la Renta, you'll shine more brightly than ever

Barbie Hat Auction Benefits "Clothes off our Back"

Over the years, some very unique traditions have developed around the Kentucky Derby®. Southern couture is on full and radiant display, and one particular accessory is not only a fashion must
— it's a signature wardrobe piece!

That essential is the Derby hat, believed to bring luck to its wearer and often influences a lady's choice of dress (instead of the other way around)! Kentucky Derby® Barbie® doll graces Churchill Downs with a simple and elegant white broad-brimmed hat, accented with roses to honor the traditional blanket of roses draped on the race's winner.

In honor of the 135th anniversary of the Kentucky Derby, Christine A. Moore has designed and created a hat inspired by Kentucky Derby® Barbie® doll, and only 135 of them will be made!
These hats will be available for purchase in The Derby Store (www.thederbystore.com) — with one very special exception.

The first-numbered Kentucky Derby® Barbie™ Replica hat will be the latest high-glamour fashion piece to be put up for bid to the public by The Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, with proceeds going to benefit their charities including Feeding America (formerly named America's Second Harvest), The Art of Elysium, Hope North, and H.E.L.P. Malawi.

Clothes Off Our Back hosts charity auctions showcasing today's hottest celebrity attire and one-of-a-kind collectibles. Not only do they feature the dresses worn by actors and actresses at award shows and costumes worn in feature films, they also auction cameras with photos taken by celebrities attending exclusive events.

The auction is currently taking place, and ends on April 20. It's your opportunity to honor the 135th Run for the Roses™, bring home the height of Southern millinery, and help worthy causes with your bid at www.ClothesOffOurBack.org.
