Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's latest project is a departure from their usual uber sexy design ethos. The Dolce & Gabbana designers have been cast as preists in Rob Marshal's upcoming musical Nine.
Based on the eighties Broadway musical, which was inspired by Federico Fellini’s 8 1/2 the film is about an Italian film producer who has too many women in his life to finish his latest film.
It stars Daniel Day Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson and Sophia Loren and is set to be the Chicago (which Marchal also directed) of 2009.
It will be relased in November.
