Multi-coastal Style
Designer Max Azria claims he always knew he'd move to America; he named his first child Michael rather than the French, Michel. Raised in Paris by an olive-oil producer and a homemaker, Azria stumbled into a love for fashion through a chance apprenticeship at the ripe age of 16. After designing and running a French line for 11 years, Azria moved to the U.S. as predicted, where he launched a successful retail chain. Influenced by the laid-back California aesthetic, Azria created BCBGMAXAZRIA in 1989, combining sleek European tailoring with the American concept of comfort he so adored. Two years later he was joined by Lubov: first as his Creative Director, then as his wife. Together, they have brought BCBG into its 20th year of life.
Known for gracious use of color and patterns, flattering fits and a-ha design elements like ruching, ruffles and bows, the extensive women's ready-to-wear line is beloved by aspiring fashionistas and celebrity supporters alike. BCBGMAXAZRIA's dresses are go-to staples from office attire to eveningwear, and simple blouses, blazers and knits possess new, uniquely chic dimension. In 1997, Azria introduced the Swim collection, containing the same delicious details as his RTW: saucy stripes, eye-popping patterns and simply stated hardware. Borrowing from his range of muses, BCBG is simultaneously put-together and relaxed, from the ballroom to the beach. Because BCBG women should feel stylish in everything from a gown to a bikini.

Style, To Go
Since 1989, fashion guru Max Azria has been delighting fashionable women with his feminine, retro-inspired label, BCBGMAXAZRIA. BCBG stands for "bon chic, bon genre," a Parisian phrase that means "good style, good attitude." And Azria continually delivers just that: women's clothing and accessories that are chic, without trying too hard.
Much like in his varied clothing line, there's something for just about everyone in the BCBG handbag collection. Crafted out of materials like leather, satin and canvas, the uniquely-shaped satchels, totes, clutches, hobos and more are accented with just the right amount of hardware and ornamentation. Ranging from a natural python-embossed print to a shocking turquoise, these bags are bold enough to be noticed, without overshadowing your look. Max Azria, quite simply, makes style look as though it were natural.

Class Act
Few styles from the 1920s remain, but historic eyewear company Persol has never gone out of fashion since it was founded in 1917. Known the world over for its sturdy, timeless frames, the company has continued to create sunglasses from the finest materials possible throughout the years. James Bond himself has even sported Persol shades in several of the 007 films, evidence enough that the brand is the epitome of effortless style and good taste. Famous for being made in Italy by skilled craftsmen, Persol's collection is created using innovative techniques and trademark designs for looks that will last a lifetime. Starting with cellulose acetate, the highest-quality material available for frames, Persol artisans go on to create a wide variety of looks by varying thickness, color, and pattern. Unlike flimsy plastic, this material is highly organic in nature (interestingly enough, deriving from cotton) and is mixed into a paste, "aged," and polished for its durable final form. Several designs are exclusive to Persol alone, including "Tartaruga 24," a lustrous tortoiseshell color, and a myriad number of frame shapes and hues ensures that any person could wear these shades. Indeed, while you might not be a world-traveling secret agent like Bond, you can still look just as slick.
